Linda Lipps Cervon is the daughter of a world famous inventor, the wife of a world famous magician and world famous in her own right as the godmother of Disneyland Amusement Park memorabilia collectors. Linda’s lifelong collecting mania extends to children’s books, World’s Fairs souvenirs, Greeting Cards from the 1920s & '30s, Little Lulu comic books, California tourist brochures and books, and 1960s enameled “daisy” pins, to name a few.
Linda is also an accomplished watercolorist, a painter and restorer of animation cels, a graphic designer (from book jackets to newsletters for magicians), and a 3-D photographer.
But, it is her massive collection (more than 40,000) of weird, unusual, bizarre, amazing, bewildering, amusing and awe-inspiring postcards that gets most of the applause from her friends and associates. Thousands upon thousands of colorful pieces of Americana resting in dozens of neatly organized notebooks and boxes attest to Linda’s devotion and sense of fun.
Linda Cervon lives in a beautiful Southern California seaside community (in a house formerly owned by the family of the world famous crime writer Erle Stanley Gardner) with her husband Bruce, daughter Marcella Alice, granddaughter Eloise, 4 cats and several tame possum.
